Keeping the Memory Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Keeping the Memory lists three objectives: reach the wreckage in Formicai Hills, search for the missing helmet, and return it to the memorial. Start a raid on Dam Battlegrounds and set your route for the Wreckage point of interest on the southern side of the map, where a huge spider-like Baron machine lies half buried. The site also serves as a mushroom farming area, so expect ARC patrols and the occasional Raider, though you do not need heavy kit.

As you reach Wreckage, work your way down to the lowest part of the site, toward the collapsed body of the Baron rather than its scattered legs. At ground level in front of the wreck, a small plant sits close to the torn metal. The missing helmet is tucked inside this shrub, not lying in open view on the hull, which makes it easy to walk past if you only scan the machine itself.

Move up to the plant until an interaction prompt appears and pick up the helmet. The quest log updates and points you toward the memorial, which is only a short walk away. Look around the same area for a single metal pole driven into the ground with a faint blue holographic helmet icon floating above it.

Walk to the pole and use the interaction prompt to place the helmet on the memorial. The action restores the soldier’s marker and completes the last in-raid objective for Keeping the Memory. From here, you can stay in Dam Battlegrounds to farm or extract immediately.

Load into Dam Battlegrounds with Keeping the Memory active, and travel south to the Wreckage point of interest.
