Berger Coefficient Boosts OG's Prize Winnings $100,000 Higher Than Xtreme Gaming's

OG and Xtreme Gaming occupied the seventh and eighth spots in the group stage standings of Riyadh Masters 2023 but unfortunately got eliminated from the championship. Their direct match ended in a draw, leading to the need for tiebreakers to determine their final group positions. The tiebreakers included the use of the Berger coefficient.

The Berger coefficient calculation awarded a team double the points for victories against other teams and one point for each draw with opponents. Ultimately, OG obtained a Berger coefficient of 36, whereas Xtreme Gaming achieved a coefficient of 35. Consequently, OG secured the 13th-14th place in Riyadh Masters 2023 and earned a prize of $200,000, which was twice as much as Xtreme Gaming's reward.
