The winning streak over the Liquid continued in the new DPC season. In the opening game of the second round, the Gaimin Gladiators shut out Team Liquid 2-0.

Next up, GG played against Ooredoo Thunders. What should have ended in a beating of OT turned into a 2-1 victory for the latter.

After Ooredoo Thunders, Gaimin Gladiators risked losing to the other outsider of the tournament, the Greeks Monaspa. The match ended 2-1 in favour of GG, but the fixtures were certainly not easy.
