The International 2023 in Seattle continues. The second day of the group stage, which is also the last one, is getting ready for the Long Run.

We continue to watch the twists and turns in Group B, where Shopify Rebellion and BB Team will play in the first match of the second day. The match is undoubtedly an important one, as the tickets to the next stage of TI 12 are at stake.

Obviously, both teams are very likely to advance, but the seeding issue remains open. It is especially acute in the context of BB and SR results on the first match day.

We are trying to figure out how this match will end and whether either team can significantly improve their situation in the standings with a clean win.

BB Team Form

We open the match analysis with an analysis of BB Team's form. In this match they will have to play as favourites with a minimal gap: the odds for a win are at around 2.7. Perhaps the main argument in favour of BB's advantage is their better performance on the first day of The International 2023.

In the first season of the regional league, BB Team made it to the top 1, very confidently running over their main opponents Spirit and HR. However, this success was quickly overshadowed by their performance at Lima Major 2023, where BB failed to make it out of the group.

BB Team's moment of glory was DreamLeague Season 20. Having got to the tournament quite by chance (they replaced Execration), the Eastern European residents managed to make it to the grand final of the tournament, where they beat Gladiators, but eventually lost with the score 2-3.

After a solid group stage at The Bali Major 2023 with a 4-2-2 from BB, Eastern European Resident made it to the top set of play-offs. There the team outplayed Tundra Esports, but due to a tournament rules violation that result was cancelled. As a result, Bali Major 2023 ended for BB Team in the top 12.

After the last Major tournament of the season BB Team attended a number of other events. Among them is the Riyadh Masters 2023. At the biggest commercial tournament of the season, BB Team made it to the top 6, which is pretty good.

In addition to the Riyadh Masters 2023 BB Team also made an appearance at the BB Dacha. The tournament from the main sponsor BB Club finished without having started: BB Team failed to get out of the group and as a result finished in the top 8.

In the group stage of DreamLeague Season 21 BB Team played in Group B. They managed to take the 2nd place, passing only Team Spirit.

As a result, BB Team had a very good performance at DL S21, which was the last tournament before The International 2023. They managed to reach the top 3 of the championship, losing in the grand final match against Shopify Rebellion (1-2).

BB Team finished the first day of the group stage of The International 2023 with a 1-1 series score: they defeated Thunder Awaken and lost to the group leader Team Liquid. Before the second day of matches, they are ranked 3rd.

The most used BB Team character remains Storm Spirit (5 matches, 60% wins). In addition, the team plays with Primal Beast and Pugna at position 4, and both heroes have 4 matches and 100% wins each. In spades was Enchantress (4 matches, 25% wins), Beastmaster (4 games, 0% wins).

Shopify Rebellion Form

We continue the match breakdown with an analysis of Shopify Rebellion's match form. They are playing second best here: the odds of winning are in the region of 5. And all, again, because of the performance on the first match day.

On the home stage, Shopify Rebellion have twice finished in the top 2. In the third round, Arteezy and company finally snatched the championship.

At The Lima Major 2023, Shopify Rebellion made it all the way to the top 4. The top three were prevented, unexpectedly, by Talon Esports.

In addition to The Lima Major 2023, the team played at DreamLeague Season 19, and they played even better than the Peruvian major. Cooler because they played with substitutes (the inexperienced Mikey played as a substitute for Abed) and reached the top 3 of the tournament for $1,000,000.

After the 20th season of DreamLeague Shopify Rebellion played two major events: Bali Major 2023 and Riyadh Masters 2023. Both championships ended miserably: TOP-12 and TOP-16 respectively.

The International is more interesting than Shopify's position at DreamLeague Season 21. Having fallen into Group A to such serious opponents as Liquid and Talon. Nevertheless, Shopify Rebellion took the first place in their basket, thereby advancing to the top of the play-offs.

In the first play-offs match of DreamLeague Season 21 Shopify Rebellion had to mobilise all the knowledge and all the skill to defeat the Eastern European residents from BB Team. The match ended with the score 2-1 in favour of Shopify, and Arteezy for the first time in a long time gave not a meme highlite, but a game-changing moment.

In the match to advance to the DL S21 SR Ledge and Team Spirit, but later they again outplayed BB in the lower grid match. However, it was not possible to take revenge from Spirit in the grand final: the Dragons easily slammed Shopify Rebellion with a score of 3-0, and Arteezy and company took the top 2.

On the first day, they played a series against Thunder Awaken and Team Liquid. They managed to beat their American colleagues only on one map, but Liquid Ledgeili. Thus, the score of SR is 1-3 and they occupy the 4th place.
