"The sweetest - at the very end." In my opinion, the organizers of the LEC tournament were guided by something like this when scheduling matches. After all, like yesterday, the expected match with the participation of the main favorite, Rogue, is the last of the day. Yesterday, a Rogue truck managed to shoot down Fnatic, but apparently, they did not slow down and are going to take revenge on G2!

Rogue is one of the three main favorites and contenders for leadership in this tournament. Those who are rightfully called the main rival of G2 Esports. But it seems that now they are repeating the situation with the group stage of the spring split almost 1v1. Or maybe much better!

The guys took first place in the group stage of the LEC Spring 2022 and lost to G2 only in the final of the playoffs, with a score of 0:3. Before that, they also took the championship at LEC Summer 2021 in groups and performed well at the Worlds of that year.

In the spring, we saw an updated roster from the team, which was quite an expected move on their part. After all, Rogue constantly lacks the strength for the “last push” to finish the European playoffs in order to show itself better in world tournaments. New jungler Malrang straight from South Korea who will bring new experience to the team and ADC from Greece Comp.

Rogue didn't get off to a good start, knocking off their "main enemies" G2 Esports and Fnatic twice in the first week of the tournament. However! Since then, they have not lost a single match and now go with an impressive winstreak of 8 games! Yesterday they dealt with their first offender, as befits real "robbers". But this is not the end of their list of names, today it will be Fnatic's turn to test their strength.

A very strong team that does not let go of the mistakes of its opponent and is good at team battles and shows almost perfect compositions in drafts. If anything can go wrong, it's a scenario where they are intentionally strangled in a game that's too aggressive, forcing the pace.

G2 Esports Uniform

Winner of the previous LEC Spring 2022 split, runner-up at the Mid-Season Invitational 2022, and Europe's reference League of Legends team that has been dominating the home scene for many years.

Yes, the team had difficulties in the last competitive season, but they were able to overcome them, which resulted in a new roster. They did it very well, replacing all players except for the two most influential roles in the game: caPs in the mid lane in conjunction with the old Jankos in the jungle. Other roles were filled with very capable and younger players.

After the spring split and the first two weeks, they are quite rightly considered the strongest team in the LEC at the moment. They are good at everything from drafting to implementing even unusual ideas. Sometimes a team allows itself to take something amazing within the meta pro scene and even win, earning style points. And caPs can now be safely called the European Faker.

At the beginning of this split, they were unbeatable. Just what did caPs do in conjunction with support from Jankos and went with a score of 4-1, once flying off from Team BDS, no matter how strange it turned out. But this was only the first wake-up call. After all, “two weeks of shame” awaited the team, during which they managed to catch 4 losses out of 4 and a total loss streak of 5 losses, temporarily dropping to the Astralis score. Yesterday, by the way, they bounced back on the same Astralis, regaining three positions at once.

When collected, G2 Esports are ready to tear and throw, but, unfortunately for many fans, lately they have seen not the most stable team play and drafts.

Then G2 pleased many with an unusual draft, where there were two brothers at once: Yasuo and Yone, and even Svein in the position of a farming support with Senna. BrokenBlade and Jankos choked poor Odoamne on Orne, while botlane didn't know what to do with Targamas' sustain on Swain. G2 did not pay so much attention to the view and objects, but showed a dynamic and aggressive game with a lot of brazen decisions. 26 minutes with a score of 20:7. And for his excellent overclocking of the map on the jungler, the old man Jankos received his MVP.

Match outcome

It is obvious to everyone that now the Rogue team is at the peak of its form and is skating through the rest of the LEC Summer 2022, regardless of whether it is a top-tier team or not. And G2 Esports, in turn, have not performed in the best way lately. I think that RGE will have enough wit and patience to win back from G2's mistakes and drafts to continue their winning streak. In this match, I strongly sympathize with Rogue.
