Maç Tahmini: T1 - Fnatic | LoL

We continue to review the Worlds 2022 group stage, where 16 teams are battling it out in New York for playoff berths. Now we are talking about group A, where the second stage of the group stage starts on October 13th.

Group A will open the continuation of the banquet. Earlier we talked about the confrontation between Cloud 9 and Fnatic, and now let's look at the confrontation of the latter against T1.

This match for the “orange” will be much more principled and difficult. By the way, for T1 the duel will be no less important.

Let's figure out which teams will emerge victorious from this Bo1 meeting and one step closer to the playoffs.

Form T1

T1 will play as a favorite in this match. The chance of their victory is estimated by bookmakers with odds around 1.24.

Like it or not, T1 remain T1 in any condition. In any condition, they will be in the status of a favorite, simply because they are T1.

On this Worlds and specifically against Fnatic, T1 doesn't really deserve such an obvious “favor” from the bookmakers and the figure of 1.24. I understand that Faker and the company have a serious credibility, but it must somehow correlate with performance.

T1 Results at Worlds 2022

We won the central match for ourselves against EDward Gaming T1, and after that we seemed to relax. Fnatic quickly jumped at the chance and caught T1 slack.

Right now T1 is in a precarious position and there is no guarantee that they will make it to the playoffs. I think it's not worth saying how shameful it would be for the club if such a turn of events from a fantasy plane turns into reality.

Heroes T1

For the T1 World Championship, the following were chosen:

Top lane: Fiora, Jax, Aatrox. All appeared once, only Jax lost.

Picked into the woods: Viego (2 matches, 50% win rate) and Lee Sin (1 match, 100% win rate)

In the mid lane, Faker played Akali (2 matches, 50% win rate) and Lissandra (100% win rate with 1 spawn).

At ADK, Sivir (1 match, 100% win), Aphelios (1 match, 0% win), Kaisa (1 match, 100% win) were chosen.

Of the supports, Yuumi (100% wins in 1 match), Thresh (1 match, 0 wins) and Alistar (1 match, 100% wins) were honored.

Fnatic form

On the other side of Summoner's Rift will be Fnatic. The Europeans will approach the match in the status of an outsider, and the odds for their victory are estimated at around 3.8.

You can’t wash off the past, and therefore Fnatic is preventively in the status of an outsider, regardless of performance. However, if you think about it, it’s not much better than T1, and the uncertainty about the failure of Fnatic is caused only by a face-to-face fight in the first round of group A.

Keep in mind that the result of the match with Cloud9 will be added here. In that series, I predict the failure of the Americans, and therefore another plus for the “orange”.

Heroes Fnatic

Ornn is most often sent to the TOP line (2 matches, 50% of wins). During the group stage, they resorted to using the most popular character in the tournament, Aatrox (1 game, 100% wins).

In the woods, they prefer Poppy, which is not very popular with other teams, but steadily complements the peak of Fnatic themselves. The character appeared 2 times and won 1 game. There was also Maokai, who won 1 time in 1 appearance.

In the center of the group stage, Humanoid played exclusively on Azir. In 3 matches, he has a 66% win rate.

I tried different characters on the Upset bot. Played for Aphelios, Lucian and Kalista, lost only on the latter.

Hylissang supported Renata Glasc (2 matches, 50% win rate) and Nami (1 game, 1 win).

History of personal confrontations

Previously, the teams played each other in the first round of Group A at the Worlds 2022: Group Stage. Then an unexpected victory was gained by Fnatic.

Match outcome

In this match, I expect a game no worse than the first head-to-head match between the teams. Azir should be banned from T1, as Humanoid from Fnatic has chosen this hero and will happily use him again, as he did for the first time in a face-to-face game.

In general, T1 should be more careful about pico-bans, because in the first game Fnatic received both the most sought-after Aatrox and signature Poppy with Azir.

In general, I expect a rather hot battle, but I will still choose T1 as the winner. I believe that the coaching staff of the Korean club drew conclusions from the last series and will no longer make miscalculations at the stage of choosing heroes.

Result: T1 win.
