Worlds 2023 continues with the Play-In stage championship matches. We are coming to the culmination of the first round of qualifiers.

We're talking about Group A, where the last match remains. A match between LOUD and Gam Esports.

We're trying to figure out which of the Minor Regions will prove to be stronger and eventually make it to the next stage of Worlds 2023, where Team Whales will be waiting for them.

LOUD uniforms

We start the match analysis by analysing LOUD's form. In this match they will have to play as the number one.

LOUD is twice the best team in Brazil. The team took their first title in 2021, won by CBLOL Split 2 2021, the analogue of the summer split in LJL.

The second time the championship was earned already this year, at CBLOL Split Season 2. In addition, LOUD, have been celebrated internationally.

The team played at Worlds 2022, where, incidentally, Ledgeila DFM. The appearance at MSI 2023 is the club's debut in this series of tournaments.

So far, LOUD's debut is hard to call successful. In their first match at the Mid-Season Invitational 2023, the team faced G2 Esports, one of the main favourites to advance to the group stage.

The match ended 2-0 in favour of the Samurai, but LOUD tried. At least on the first map before the transition to the mid-late game LOUD had a chance to clinch a point, but G2 outclassed their opponents.

After the loss to G2 Loud fell to the bottom of the grid where they faced DetonatioN FocusMe. Being the underdogs at the time, LOUD pulled out a clean win, but in the next round Ledge and PSG Talon, finishing in the top 11 of the tournament.

The team made it to Worlds 2023 as the champions of CBLOL Split 2 2023. There LOUD easily took the top 1, in the grand finals closing PaiN Gaming.

LOUD made their debut at Worlds 2023 in a match against GAM Esports. An even match on paper between LOUD and GAM ended with a clean win for the former.

Prior to this match, LOUD faced off against PSG Talon. The first Play-In team proved why they are honoured and betting tiri a bright future within this Worlds. LOUD lost with a score of 0-2.

Aatrox (3 matches, 100% wins) and Renekton (2 matches, 100% wins) appear on LOUD's top line.

Taking the jungle is Sejuani (4 matches, 100% wins).

The centre line is not the most popular Taliyah (3 games, 100% wins) and Lissandra (3 games, 66% wins).

Among the shooters Aphelios (4 matches, 75% wins) and also Xayah (3 matches, 66% wins).

GAM Esports uniforms

We continue the match analysis with the analysis of GAM Esports game form. In this match, the team will play as a number two.

GAM Esports is one of the most titled teams in Vietnam with 5 wins in regional splits and several top 2 home league titles. At the last event, VCS Dawn 2023, GAM Esports had a very strong run in the play-offs, winning the group 14-0 in the series. GAM played well in the play-offs itself, giving up a total of 4 maps in 3 series.

Vietnam (VCS) - My region with an asterisk. Teams from there are capable of putting up a fight against the world's top League of Legends clubs, as demonstrated by GAM Esports during Worlds 2017, 2019, and even at Worlds 2022.

The peak of performance on the international stage remains 2017. That's when GAM Esports finished in the top 6 at the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational.

To repeat the success of 2017, it is mandatory to beat Rainbow7 in the upcoming confrontation. Everything seems to be in place for that to happen.

GAM has the top performers by VCS standards, which is confirmed by the club's performance at home. However, they didn't help GAM to beat a more titled opponent, namely Golden Guardians, with whom GAM played in the first round of Play-In MSI 2023 and lost without much chance.

All in all, MSI 2023 ended very badly for GAM Esports. After losing in the first round, the Vietnamese unexpectedly defeated Rainbow7 in the first round of the lower grid, and therefore ignominiously left the championship at the Top 12.

The team made it to Worlds 2023 thanks to a win at the home VCS Dusk 2023. In the grand finals they easily beat Team Whales with a score of 3-1.

In the debut match at Worlds 2023 Gam Esports played against LOUD. The Brazilians proved to be stronger, although GAM put up a fight. The match ended with a score of 0-2 not in favour of GAM.

In the previous round GAM defeated Rainbow7. They defeated Rainbow7 on class (2-0), without giving space on any of the maps.

Fiora (3 matches, 100% wins) and Jax (3 matches, 66% wins) are the most often sent to the top line.

Wukong (3 matches, 100% winrate) and Lee Sin (3 matches, 66% win rate) are the most frequently played Foresters.

Lissandra (7 games, 85% win rate) is the most often played on the centre line.

Among shooters Zeri (6 matches, 50% win rate) is preferred.

And the familiar Nautilus (8 matches, 75% of wins) is in the backcourts.

History of head-to-head meetings

Previously, the teams have already played at the Long Circuit Worlds 2023 Play-In. Then the victory was won by the Brazilians, who closed their vis-a-vis with a score of 2-0 and a huge margin.

I'm sure we are in for a good game with a lot of colourful moments. If we talk about the winner, I think it will be LOUD. They have already beaten GAM, so I don't see any obstacles not to do it again.
