/FURIA Esports lost 1:2 to Fnatic, leaving VALORANT Champions 2022 as a result. The Brazilian team finished last in the championship, earning $15,000. In turn, Fnatic remains in the race and will now compete for the playoffs from Group D.
The second match of the game day started on the Icebox map, which became the choice of the European team. At the same time, the Brazilians quickly took the initiative into their own hands, having managed to get a minimal advantage before switching sides. In the second half, the Fnatic players failed to join the fight, thus allowing FURIA to take the lead in the series — 13:9.
Next, the teams moved to the Breeze map, which turned out to be the choice of FURIA. Now the European team showed their best game, having recorded the defeat at the end of the first half. After the change of sides, the Brazilians were already unable to wake up, thus allowing Fnatic to quickly and confidently equalize the score in the series — 13:7.
Everything was decided on the Haven map, the first half of which ended in complete parity. After the change of sides, the teams continued to demonstrate an equal game. And yet, in the end, Fnatic managed to pull together and get the final victory, knocking out the Brazilian team from the championship — 13:11.
Note that according to the results of the group stage, the teams Leviatan, DRX and OpTic Gaming have already guaranteed themselves participation in the playoffs of VALORANT Champions 2022.
