In the opening match of the lower bracket playoffs at Valorant Champions 2025, DRX secured a confident 2:1 victory over G2 Esports, ending the European team’s run at the tournament.
The series began on Lotus, where G2 looked strong and closed the map 13:7. However, on Abyss, the Korean squad managed to shift the momentum, taking the win 13:10. The decisive battle unfolded on Bind, where DRX completely controlled the game and sealed the series with another 13:7 scoreline.
With this result, G2 became the first team eliminated from the Champions 2025 playoffs, finishing in 7th–8th place overall. Meanwhile, DRX continue their campaign and have already guaranteed themselves a spot in the top 6 of the tournament.

VALORANT Champions 2025 is the largest tournament in the VALORANT discipline, serving as the grand finale of the VALORANT Champions Tour that took place throughout 2025. The event brings together 16 of the best teams from around the world to compete for a prize pool of $2,250,000. It is being held in Paris, France.
