Aurora took down Team Liquid 2:1 in a tense series at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. After dropping Mirage, the Turkish team bounced back confidently on Train and closed out the decisive Dust2 thanks to a stellar performance from Wicadia, who earned the MVP award. Despite a strong start, Liquid fall to a 1-1 record, while Aurora move one step closer to the playoffs.
Mirage (16:19 Liquid)
Liquid picked Mirage as their map of choice. Playing on the T side, they secured seven rounds in the first half. Switching to defense, Liquid allowed Aurora to equalize the score at 10:10 and even reach map point, but the North American squad forced overtime in the final round. It took two sets of overtimes for Liquid to clinch the victory on their pick, 19:16.
Train (13:4 Aurora)
On their own pick, the Turkish team looked far more composed. Their early control of the map on the CT side allowed them to take nine rounds in the first half. After the switch, Liquid couldn’t break through Aurora’s defense and fell 4:13.
Dust2 (13:8 Aurora)
On the deciding Dust2, Aurora played with determination from the start. Wicadia was the driving force behind the win, finishing the map with a KD of 19/11. While Liquid managed to tie the score during their CT side, Aurora kept their composure and closed the map 13:8.

The standout player of the series was Wicadia. His stats across the Bo3: ADR — 92, Swing +3.74%, and a 1.39 rating.
Liquid claimed victory in their opening match but couldn’t keep up against Aurora, falling to a 1-1 record. Meanwhile, Aurora move to 2-0 and need just one more win to advance to the playoffs. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 runs from October 26 to November 1, featuring a total prize pool of $625,000, with $200,000 awarded to the winning team and another $200,000 to their organization.
