SAW, GamerLegion'u yenerek PGL Masters Bükreş 2025'te üçüncü sırayı elde etti

The Portuguese miracle from SAW: a team once seen as underdogs eliminated GamerLegion from PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 after a hard-fought 2–1 series. Despite a crushing loss on Overpass, SAW managed to turn the tide on Inferno and Nuke, completing a comeback to claim third place at the tournament and $75,000 in prize money.

Overpass (13:4 GamerLegion)

Overpass started perfectly for GamerLegion. From the first round, they controlled the game entirely, building up a dominant 11:1 lead. In the second half, SAW tried to find a foothold but failed to stop GL’s momentum. GamerLegion closed the map comfortably at 13:4.

Inferno (11:13 SAW)

GamerLegion couldn’t replicate their dominance on the second map. SAW responded with key round wins, though GL still led 8:4 after the first half. Switching to the CT side, SAW found their rhythm, taking control and pulling ahead. GamerLegion came close to forcing overtime and even had a chance to close the series 2–0, but SAW held firm to win 13:11.

Nuke (8:13 SAW)

The decider on Nuke was fairly balanced in the first half. SAW dictated the pace early on, but GL responded with a streak of rounds, finishing the half 5:7. The situation changed dramatically once SAW switched to the T side, pulling off an incredible streak of seven consecutive rounds to reach match point, before sealing the victory 13:8.

Match MVP

Thanks to story, SAW claimed third place. His clutch plays and aggressive style helped the team secure the win. His stats for the match: ADR – 82.7, Swing +5.11, and a 1.39 rating.

As underdogs, SAW impressed by reaching the semifinals and finishing third, earning $75,000 for the team and the same amount for the organization. GamerLegion exit the tournament in fourth place with $43,750 for the team and the same for the org. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 takes place from October 26 to November 1 with a total prize pool of $625,000, where the champions will receive $200,000 for the team and another $200,000 for the organization.
