The LEC Versus 2026 Playoffs are moving to the final matches of the tournament. Today, G2 Esports faced Movistar KOI in the Upper Bracket Final, where a victory means advancing to the tournament's grand final. The match was played in a Bo5 format featuring Fearless Draft. Let's get to the match.

The first map started with even trades, but thanks to their draft, MKOI secured a more comfortable early game. G2 Esports avoided unfavorable fights for objectives and waited for their moment. In the mid game, MKOI's mistakes allowed G2 to seize the initiative and take the Baron, although MKOI confidently led 3:0 in dragons. The key moment was a prolonged battle for the next dragon. Initially, Movistar KOI got an ace, losing four players, but after the teams respawned, G2 won the repeated fight in the same position. This brought them a second Baron and a 7 thousand gold lead. The decisive teamfight occurred in the top lane - G2 won without a single casualty and closed out the map. The result of the game was 1:0 in favor of G2.
The second match started very actively on both sides again, but this time G2 Esports were able to execute their draft much better and started gaining an advantage from the 5th minute. And if on the previous map G2 Esports fought well but gave away dragons, giving MKOI a chance for a comeback, then on the second map, all objectives went to G2. The final point on this map was the fight for the Dragon Soul, which started quite well for MKOI, but a gorgeous Cataclysm from Jarvan IV put an end to the fight. A 5-for-1 trade allowed G2 to take the Dragon Soul and the Baron, and almost immediately end the game after that.
On the third map, we could witness fights every minute and trades from both sides. Initially, MKOI managed to seize the advantage and take a 2 thousand gold lead, but a fight near the dragon, where one mistake from Movistar KO I cost them 4 deaths and the dragon, completely turned the advantage over to G2 Esports. After this, G2 only started to gain momentum and become stronger with every minute. MKOI, in turn, tried to respond, but they only succeeded against isolated targets, which did not bring significant results. The teamfights, however, were all in favor of G2 Esports. 3:0 for G2 Esports, advancing to the LEC Versus 2026 finals, and one step away from First Stand.
In 2026, the LEC Versus format does not include a cash prize. Instead of a prize pool, teams are competing for qualification to the international tournament, First Stand 2026. The match format changes during the playoff stage: early rounds are held as Best-of-3 (Bo3) series, while key and final matchups are played in a Best-of-5 (Bo5) format. These matches will determine the team that secures a slot for the international stage.
