Official Riot Games representatives have published detailed information regarding the hosting of the major international League of Legends tournaments in 2026 - the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and the World Championship (Worlds). The exact dates, stage locations, and the updated slot allocation for the World Championship have been revealed.

Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2026

The second major international tournament of the year - Mid-Season Invitational 2026 will head to South Korea. All matches of the competition will be hosted by the Daejeon Convention Center II, located in the city of Daejeon. The Play-In Stage will take place from June 28 to July 1. Immediately after that, the Bracket Stage will begin, with matches scheduled for July 3-6 and July 8-12. The Upper Final will be held on July 9, and the Lower Final will take place on July 11. The winner of the tournament will be determined in the Grand Final, which is set for July 12.

World Championship (Worlds) 2026

The main tournament of the season will be held in the United States of America. Traditionally for the World Championship, the various stages of the competition will be hosted by different cities. The Play-In Stage will take place from October 15 to 18 at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, California. The Swiss Stage games and the first playoff matches will run from October 23 to 31, and then continue from November 3 to 8 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in the city of Allen, Texas. The decisive match of the year, the tournament's Grand Final, will take place on November 14 at the major Barclays Center arena in Brooklyn, New York.

Slot Allocation The qualification system for Worlds 2026 includes an updated distribution of spots among the competitive leagues. Five major regions - LCK, LPL, LCS, LCP, and LEC - will receive three tickets to the World Championship each. Two slots are guaranteed for teams from the CBLOL region. Additionally, there are extra rewards based on the MSI results: one slot will go to the region of the MSI 2026 champion team, and another slot will be awarded to the region whose representative takes second place at MSI 2026.
