Another gaming day has come to an end within the Six Invitational 2023, following which the Brazilian team w7m esports became the first grand finalist of the tournament, while the teams Wolves Esports and KOI suffered another defeat, thus leaving the competition and taking 5-6th place.
As part of the first quarterfinal of the lower bracket, the French team Wolves Esports lost to G2 Esports with a score of 1:2, failing to continue the fight in the championship. This is the second defeat in a row for the team, which lost to Oxygen Esports with a score of 1:2 a little earlier and fell into the lower bracket.
In turn, the KOI team failed to cope with the North Americans from Astralis, losing the series with a score of 1:2. Remarkably, the Brazilian team also suffered a second defeat in a row after losing to w7m esports with a score of 0:2 a few days ago in the semi-finals of the upper bracket.
At the same time, the Brazilian team w7m esports continued its pursuit of the trophy. This time, the team turned out to be stronger than Oxygen Esports with a score of 2:1, thanks to which they advanced to the grand final of the tournament and received an additional day of rest.
Today, February 18, two meetings will take place, which will determine the second finalist of the Six Invitational 2023. In the first case, G2 Esports and Astralis will compete for the right to go to the finals of the lower bracket, where the Oxygen Esports team is already waiting for the winner.
The Six Invitational 2023 takes place from February 7 to 19 in Montreal at Place Bell. As part of the championship, twenty teams from Europe, Asia, North and South America are fighting for a total prize pool of $3,000,000.
